New York '27 Wins Round 3
The fans in New York 27 are celebrating the Yankees victory over the St. Louis 31 Stars in the Round 3.
They defeated the St. Louis 31 Stars 11-1 in the finale played at Yankee Stadium to capture the series 4-1.
Bob Meusel was chosen the series' Most Valuable Player. The Yankees left fielder batted .455, drove in 8 runs and scored 5 runs in the series.
"The Stars are a good club and I don't mean any disrespect to their pitching staff, but things just felt easy this series," Meusel said. "Everything at the plate seemed right."
The New York 27 Yankees don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Cincinnati 19 Reds - Kansas City 24 Monarchs series. Kansas City 24 leads the series 2 games to 1. The Round 4 schedule will be announced after the Round 3 finishes.
Reds Move on to Finals
The Cincinnati 19 Reds are one step closer to winning a Round 4, and the season came to a close for the Kansas City 24 Monarchs.
Cincinnati 19 won the Round 3 4-2, with a 11-3 victory in the deciding game at Meuhlback Field today.
Cincinnati 19 center fielder Edd Roush was named the MVP of the series, after hitting .538 with a .586 on-base percentage. He had 0 homers, drove in 2 RBI and scored 6 runs.
"I just hope I can keep it up in the Round 4," he said.
