Yankees Trade Kucks to Senators for Hittle Tuesday, October 12th , 1954 The Yankees and Senators announced a deal that was completed today. New York sent 21-year old RHP Johnny Kucks to Washington for 30-year old LHP Lloyd Hittle and 22-year old RF Ernie Oravetz. Both teams appear happy with the outcome of the trade. The general managers told the Baseball News Network they felt the swap was beneficial for all parties involved. In his career, Hittle has appeared in 343 games and earned 26 saves with 133 Ks in 548 innings. He has a record of 36 wins and 33 losses and a 4.29 ERA. |
