Cincinnati Trades Fowler to Chicago for Battey Sunday, October 10th , 1954 The Cincinnati Redlegs have released a statement confirming the trade of 32-year old RHP Art Fowler and 19-year old SS Dick Schofield to the Chicago White Sox for 19-year old C Earl Battey. The deal was finalized today. So far in Fowler's career, the 32-year-old starter has won 10 and lost 15, collecting 109 strikeouts with a 3.46 ERA. Opponents have hit .262 against him. |
