Sullivan Earns NL Rookie of Month Friday, October 1st , 1954 The top rookie has been named for September -- and the winner is Frank Sullivan. The NL presented the trophy to him today in a press conference. It was a strong 3-1 record that brought the Milwaukee starter the Rookie of the Month award. Sullivan excelled last month with a 1.71 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 42 innings, fanned 23 and held hitters he faced to a .182 average. His record this season is 11-12 in 30 starts and Sullivan has a 3.83 ERA. |
