Brown at His Best, Blanks Baltimore Friday, September 17th , 1954 The bats were ice cold for the Baltimore Orioles at Comiskey Park. Chicago White Sox starter Hal Brown kept the Orioles cold all day, shutting them out, 2-0. In a fine outing, the 29-year-old hurler allowed 4 hits while striking out 4 and walking 3. "I'm not quite sure what was different today," Brown admitted later. "I didn't feel like I was doing anything differently, but the results speak for themselves."
