Boston Deals Henriksen to Chicago for Lindsay
Tuesday, December 19th , 1911
A trade was announced today at a press conference in Boston. Not satisfied with their current roster, the Boston Red Sox general manager shook things up by acquiring 30-year old RHP Bill Lindsay from the Chicago White Sox for 23-year old RF Olaf Henriksen and 19-year old LHP Doug Smith.

"We're a better team now," Red Sox general manager said. "We've added several pieces to the puzzle."

A check of his career stats reveals Lindsay has chalked up 43 wins and 54 losses with 380 strikeouts and a 3.43 ERA. Opposing teams have put up a .251 batting average against him.
