Walsh Fashions Shutout Against Boston

Chicago White Sox hurler Ed Walsh was at his best as he beat the Boston Red Sox, 2-0.
"He just kept the ball down, did a good job, made his pitches," said Boston manager . "We didn't do a good job making adjustments, so we helped him out a little bit."
Walsh, who finished 4th in the AL in saves with 3 last year, fired a 5-hitter and totaled 4 strikeouts and 2 walks in the shutout performance.
Up to now Walsh has recorded a record of 23-14. In 37 starts he has fanned 216 batters in 335 innings with a 2.15 ERA.
