Los Angeles Tops New York Wednesday, October 15th , 2014 The Los Angeles faithful were cheering in the streets, and New York fans wiping away the tears, after the Dodgers won the Round 3 at Dodger Stadium today. The Dodgers clinched it by knocking off the Yankees 3-0 to take their 1st Major League crown. Los Angeles took the series 4-2. "This club never gave up all year long," Los Angeles manager told the press. "They believed they could win the title and they did." On the way to the Round 3 title, Los Angeles compiled a 78-57 won-loss record and finished first in the National League Western Division.
