The Texas Rangers picked up a win at Kauffman Stadium, topping the Kansas City Royals, 4-3. On the mound for Texas was right-hander Rube Curry. He played a principal role in the triumph. The Royals fall to 4-5 and continue their sputtering start to the 2014 season.

Texas used the hitting of Milton Bradley to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Rangers on top, 4-0. For the game, Bradley had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Curry. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
