Los Angeles Gets 7-0 Win
|
The Los Angeles Angels went home winners at Yankee Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Dean Chance. Chance stifled the New York Yankees, enabling Los Angeles to grab the 7-0 win. Jered Weaver earned the save, his 2nd. The Angels now have a mark of 41-49.
It could have been a different outcome for Los Angeles, had it not been for Willard Brown, the former first round draft pick . Brown contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Los Angeles up, 1-0.
"Dean threw the ball very, very well," said Los Angeles manager .
