Dodgers Hammered by Votto, Drop Game 3 to Reds
The Cincinnati Reds have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Los Angeles Dodgers, winning, 4-2, at Great American Ball Park. Reds first baseman Joey Votto hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The win cuts the deficit facing the Reds to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Round 2.

Votto had a consequential at-bat in the bottom of the first for the Reds. Coming up with runners on 1st and 2nd and Cincinnati trailing 1-0, he hit a 3-run home run.

"It's a big deal," Votto said of the win. "If we had gone to 0-3, we're pretty much out of it."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.
