Los Angeles Tops Cincinnati Again, 5-3
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers got a strong performance from pitcher Don Sutton, who stymied the visiting Cincinnati Reds en route to a win, 5-3, in Game 2 of the Round 2. The Reds could never get a bead on the right-handed Sutton, who threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The Dodgers now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.
The Reds had trouble solving Sutton, who surrendered no runs on 2 hits over 7 innings.
"We haven't stopped playing," Cincinnati manager said. "We didn't get this far to give up."
Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.
