The Chicago White Sox got a strong performance from pitcher Juan Pizarro, who stymied the Houston offense en route to a win, 7-2, at U.S. Cellular Field. The defeat makes Houston 51-33.

Buck Leonard had a big 3-run home run for the White Sox in the bottom of the third inning. With Chicago leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a slider from Andy Porter and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 9th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the White Sox ahead, 5-0.

"Do what you're good at," said Chicago manager . "That's all I ask of the team."
