Late Offense Lifts Seattle to 7-3 Victory
The Seattle Mariners picked up a win at Safeco Field, dropping the Baltimore Orioles, 7-3. Erik Hanson, who is tied for 7th in the AL in quality starts with 11, was the difference-maker. The third-place Mariners are now 36-39, the Orioles 35-40.

Seattle went in front, 4-3, on Julio Cruz's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Cruz hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Baltimore pitcher Tim Stoddard visibly perturbed.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Hanson told the Seattle Observer.
