Orioles Stick Rangers with 4-2 Loss
|
The Baltimore Orioles picked up a win at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, knocking off the Texas Rangers, 4-2. Starting pitcher Jim Palmer played a key role in the triumph. Baltimore currently is in 4th place in the American League Eastern Division at 34-38.
Center Fielder Paul Blair made an impact for Baltimore, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Rube Curry in the bottom of the second. For the contest, Blair went 1 for 3 with a double.
After the game, Baltimore manager applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
