Royals Drop 3-0 Decision
|
The Minnesota Twins banked on Ted Trent and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the Kansas City hitters in check. The final score was 3-0, Twins. Minnesota is second in the American League Central Division with a record of 40-34.
Minnesota used the timely hitting of Rod Carew to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Twins ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Carew.
