The Baltimore Orioles defeated the Toronto Blue Jays in 12 innings, 7-6, in part because of left fielder Clint Thomas. Thomas went 3-6 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Orioles. Scott McGregor picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Paul Quantrill suffered the loss. Baltimore occupies 4th place in the American League Eastern Division at 33-36.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 12th, until Thomas delivered big-time for Baltimore, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Paul Quantrill. The game-changing hit put the Orioles on top, 7-6.
