Toronto Rallies for 4-2 Win
|
Baltimore got a terrific performance from pitcher Mike Mussina, but it wasn't enough to beat the Toronto Blue Jays. Toronto won the Rogers Centre contest, 4-2. Mussina threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Duane Ward closed it out for his 19th save. The Blue Jays improved their record to 36-32 by beating Baltimore.
Toronto went up, 4-2, on Josh Donaldson's 12th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Donaldson hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Baltimore pitcher Tim Stoddard stewing.
"Coulda, shoulda, woulda," said Baltimore manager . "We had our chances and didn't cash in."
