Judge Homers Twice in 6-1 Yankees Win
|
Behind a solid performance from right fielder Aaron Judge, the New York Yankees defeated the Kansas City Royals, 6-1. Judge belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Yankees. The Yankees own a robust 39-22 mark.
Judge contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for New York in the top of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Judge took a changeup from Bret Saberhagen and stroked the home run to left-center. His 12th home run of the season allowed the Yankees to leap in front, 3-1.
"Whatever it takes to win," said Judge. "That's our attitude."
