Blue Jays Stumble, Lose 1-0 to Twins
In a tight tilt between the Minnesota Twins and the Toronto Blue Jays, Walter Johnson was the deciding factor. The Minnesota right-hander spearheaded the 1-0 win. Picking up his 13th save was 31-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Nathan. The second-place Blue Jays now sit at 32-27.

In the bottom of the third, 28-year old first baseman Rod Carew hit a run-scoring double. The 6th double of the season for the Minnesota first baseman put the Twins on top, 1-0.

Carew attributed the win to "making big pitches in big moments."
