Houston Breaks Through for First Win in Round 2; Now Trails 2-1
Red Ruffing pitched well, but the New York Yankees lost anyway, falling, 3-2, in extra innings to the Houston Astros at Yankee Stadium. With the win, Houston closed their deficit in the best-of-7 Round 2 to 2-1. Ruffing gave the Yankees 7 innings and allowed no runs.

Houston used the timely hitting of Kyle Tucker to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Astros on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We were a little off-kilter to start the series, but we're getting things figured out now," Houston manager told reporters. "At least I hope we are."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Yankee Stadium in New York.
