The home team gave the crowd at Progressive Field something to cheer about.

The Cleveland Indians earned a win at Progressive Field, knocking off the Tampa Bay Rays, 4-2. On the bump for Cleveland was left-hander CC Sabathia. He had a starring role in the triumph. Doug Jones picked up the win in relief. Jake McGee took the loss for Tampa Bay.

Cleveland went in front, 3-1, on Jose Ramirez's 20th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Ramirez hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Tampa Bay pitcher Jake McGee visibly perturbed.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Sabathia.

Cleveland is now 27-30.
