Dutch E Leonard pitched a gem to lead Minnesota to victory over the Los Angeles Angels, 3-1. Eddie Guardado notched his 3rd save of the season. The third-place Twins hiked their record to 29-30.

Minnesota went up, 3-1, on Oscar Charleston's 15th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Charleston hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Los Angeles pitcher Roy Partlow shaking his head.

Los Angeles manager , after the game, said, "Right now, we're just not getting that big hit."
