The Tampa Bay Rays weathered an outstanding game by Baltimore left fielder Clint Thomas to topple the Orioles, 7-3. Thomas was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was 26-year old left-handed pitcher David Price. He tossed 91 pitches over 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits. The last-place Rays improved to 22-31.
