Lyons Clubs 2 Home Runs in 4-1 Seattle Win
|
Led by Jimmie Lyons, the Seattle Mariners defeated the Texas Rangers, 4-1. Lyons, a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Mariners. The winning pitcher was Wilmer Fields. His record now stands at 1-0. The right-hander went 6 innings, allowing no runs on 3 hits for the Mariners. Kazuhiro Sasaki earned the save for Seattle, his 3rd of the year.
