The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Detroit Tigers, 7-6, in 10 innings, in part because of second baseman Roberto Alomar. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 3. Toronto reliever Tom Henke picked up the win, raising his record to 2-2. Willie Hernandez was tagged with the loss. The win elevated the Blue Jays to 25-21.
