Seattle Mariners starter Hisashi Iwakuma turned in an exceptional performance against the Texas Rangers at Safeco Field, resulting in a Seattle win, 4-2. The loss drops Texas to 1-3.

The Mariners got a big at-bat from second baseman Harold Reynolds. For the game, Reynolds went 1-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave Seattle a 2-0 lead.
