Portsider Helps Minnesota to 5-2 Win
|
Minnesota Twins starter Roy Welmaker turned in a top-notch performance against the Tampa Bay Rays at Target Field. The result was a win for the Twins, 5-2. Tampa Bay now owns a losing streak of 5 games.
Welmaker, the Minnesota left-hander, went 8 innings, allowing no runs on 2 hits. He collected 7 strikeouts.
"When Roy executes, it really doesn't matter what the other lineup is," said Minnesota field general .
