Thrilling Victory Pushes White Sox Win Streak to 5
|
Chicago White Sox starter Ed Walsh turned in a workmanlike performance against the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Doc White got the save, the 5th for him this season. The White Sox have now won 5 straight.
Chicago used the timely hitting of Ben Taylor to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the White Sox on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Walsh.
