Toronto picked up a win at Comerica Tigers Park, bumping off the Detroit Tigers, 5-1. Pitcher Jimmy Key was a major reason the Blue Jays emerged victorious. Toronto is off to a hot start at 5-1.

Toronto used a timely hit from Roberto Alomar to get the win. The second baseman stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Solid game, solid win tonight," said a smiling Alomar.
