Spirited fans greeted the Toronto Blue Jays for their clash with the Texas Rangers.
Texas Rangers starter Rube Curry pitched a strong game against the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre, leading the Rangers to victory, 8-6. Picking up the save was Jeff Russell, his 10th.
Corey Seager, who is tied for 4th in the AL in doubles with 13, helped out the Texas cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the shortstop went 1-3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Texas manager .
With the win, the Rangers have a record of 18-22.
