Indians Spank Tigers, 10-0
|
The Detroit Tigers were almost helpless in their 10-0 loss to the Cleveland Indians and hurler Corey Kluber. Kluber kept the Tigers confused all game, spinning a 4-hit shutout.
"Tip your hat to Kluber," Detroit manager said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."
The 31-year-old right-hander had no walks and 9 strikeouts in a strong performance.
"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Kluber said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."
To date this season, Kluber has a record of 4 wins and 3 losses and a 3.61 ERA. He has appeared in 10 games and struck out 67 in 67.1 innings.
