Road Win Lifts Los Angeles to 3-0 Lead in R1
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers went into extra innings against the San Francisco Giants but ultimately moved to within one game of the Round 2.
The Dodgers downed the Giants at AT&T Park by a score of 3-2. Even as his squad took the loss, San Francisco right-hander Johnny Wright threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The win gives the Dodgers a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Round 1.
Steve Garvey had a direct impact on the outcome. Garvey contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 16th inning to put Los Angeles up, 3-2.
"We don't have much margin for error now," Giants manager said. "We need to figure out the problem and fix it, immediately."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at AT&T Park in San Francisco.
