Orioles Inch Closer to .500 With 6-2 Win
|
The Baltimore Orioles stifled the Kansas City Royals, 6-2, at Kauffman Stadium. Ken Williams, who is tied for 4th in the AL in triples with 3, had his hitting cap on. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Baltimore. Baltimore is now 18-19. Kansas City is 15-19.
It could have been a different outcome for Baltimore, had it not been for George Sisler, the 27-year old first baseman . Sisler contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Baltimore up, 3-0.
"I was making good contact tonight," said Williams.
