The Texas Rangers knocked off the Cleveland Indians, 5-3, in American League action at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. Texas left fielder and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, native Bullet Rogan had an outstanding performance. Texas pitcher Pete Richert earned the win, hiking his record to 1-2. Bob Wickman suffered the loss. The Rangers, at 17-19, inhabit third place in the American League Western Division.

Texas went up, 4-3, on Corey Seager's 11th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Seager hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Cleveland pitcher Bob Wickman shaking his head.

"My job is to go out and execute," said Rogan.
