Athletics Get Dramatic 6-5 Win
|
Lefty Grove propelled his team to victory over the Chicago White Sox. The final score was 6-5, Oakland. At 2-0, the Athletics have played well so far.
Nap Lajoie was the walk-off hero for Oakland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Athletics second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Grove said.
