Mariners Squelch Astros Offense in Shutout Win
In a low-scoring game between Seattle and Houston, pitcher Randy D Johnson was excellent. The Seattle left-hander helped his team knock off the Astros, 3-0. Kazuhiro Sasaki zipped up his 10th save. Houston is 17-13 after the defeat.

Kyle Seager had a big run-scoring double for the Mariners in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Seattle leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Shane Reynolds, who is tied for 3rd in the AL in wins with 3, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mariners ahead, 2-0.

"Awesome outing. Randy D was on top of them all night long," said Seattle manager .
