Reds Lose as Rockies Stage Late Rally
The Colorado Rockies overcame a good performance by Cincinnati shortstop John Beckwith to knock off Cincinnati, 7-5, at Great American Ball Park. Beckwith went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Jeff Francis in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Aroldis Chapman took the loss. Colorado now sits at 65-67, while Cincinnati falls to 69-63.

The result might have been different, had it not been for 28-year old second baseman DJ LeMahieu. LeMahieu had a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rockies ahead, 6-5. For the game, LeMahieu had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said LeMahieu.
