Rockies Edged, 5-4, by Cincinnati

The Colorado Rockies and Cincinnati Reds met at Great American Ball Park to settle a score.
Colorado got a big-time effort from pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez, but it wasn't enough to keep the Cincinnati Reds from winning the game, 5-4. Jimenez threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Cincinnati reliever Tom Hume snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Taylor Buchholz shouldered the loss. Rob Dibble got credit for the save for Cincinnati. It was his 34th of the year.
Cincinnati went up, 5-4, on Sean Casey's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Casey hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Colorado pitcher Taylor Buchholz stewing.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Casey. "You've got to get results."
The win makes Cincinnati 69-62.
