Wrigley Field was the site of a competitive game between the Chicago Cubs and Arizona Diamondbacks.

Jose Mendez, who is tied for 6th in the NL in innings pitched with 204.2, had a strong outing for the Arizona Diamondbacks against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Curt Schilling earned save number 29 this season.

Shea Hillenbrand came through with a big-time hit for Arizona. The third baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I still know how to get guys out," said Mendez.

The Diamondbacks now have a record of 60-75 with the win over Chicago.
