Atlanta Braves starter Tom Glavine pitched a strong game against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Turner Field, leading the Braves to victory, 4-3. Craig Kimbrel recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 29 for 32. The Braves saw their record improve to 68-63.
Atlanta third baseman Chipper Jones contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a sinker to right-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 105th hit of the season and put the Braves ahead, 4-0.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Glavine.
