The Chicago White Sox knotted up the Round 1 at Yankee Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Red Faber. Faber quieted the New York Yankees, enabling Chicago to grab the 3-0 win and move into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 series.

Faber gave Chicago a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 7.1 innings.

"We lost," New York manager said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago.
