The Pittsburgh Pirates knocked off the Miami Marlins, 10-3, at PNC Park. Dave Parker was a big reason Pittsburgh won. The left fielder went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Pittsburgh pitcher Sam Streeter earned the win, hiking his record to 11-6. Kevin Brown suffered the loss. At 54-67, Pittsburgh is in 4th place in the National League Central Division.

Early in the game, Parker had a 2-run double for Pittsburgh. It was his 29th double of the season and put the Pirates on top, 2-0.
