Mets Use Late Surge to Win
The New York Mets locked up a win at Chase Field, knocking off the Arizona Diamondbacks, 6-4. On the mound for New York was right-hander Dwight Gooden. He played a major role in the triumph. The Mets bumped their record to 66-55 with this latest triumph.

David Wright hit a run-scoring triple off Byung-Hyun Kim in the top of the 13th, which put the Mets in front, 5-4. Wright had 2 singles and 1 walk, in addition to the three-bagger. For the game, he went 3 for 5.

"Dwight did a good job of managing their lineup," said New York manager .
