Reds Lose Late to Braves
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Atlanta Braves got the win.

The Atlanta Braves picked up a win at Great American Ball Park, knocking off the Cincinnati Reds, 4-3. Starting pitcher Greg Maddux played a key role in the triumph. Atlanta, now 57-57, holds down 4th place in the National League Eastern Division.

Sam Jethroe drove in one run for Atlanta. With one out and the game tied in the top of the tenth inning, Jethroe had a clutch at-bat. Facing Cincinnati hurler Rob Dibble, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Braves a 4-3 lead.

"We didn't let this one get away," said Jethroe.
