The Pittsburgh Pirates had no problem beating the Milwaukee Brewers, 13-2, at PNC Park. George Grantham led the onslaught. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is now 51-65, Milwaukee 53-60.

A key moment came with two out in the bottom of the third. That's when Grantham hit a fastball from Teddy Higuera for a 2-run single, putting Pittsburgh up, 4-2.
