Rockies Solve Philadelphia in Extra Innings
|
The Philadelphia Phillies got a sterling performance from pitcher Zack Wheeler, but the Colorado Rockies still prevailed, 4-3. Wheeler threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball. Huston Street collected his 21st save. Colorado now sports a record of 57-56.
The most important at-bat for Colorado came in the top of the tenth inning, when second baseman DJ LeMahieu stroked a 2-2 slider to center for a run-scoring single, putting Colorado up, 4-3.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," LeMahieu said.
