The Arizona Diamondbacks got a stellar performance from pitcher Jose Mendez, who handcuffed the Los Angeles offense en route to a win, 2-1, at Chase Field. Los Angeles has now lost 4 in a row.
Early in the game, first baseman Adam Dunn had a 2-run home run for Arizona. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Diamondbacks on top, 2-1.
