Chase Field was the site for National League action featuring the Washington Nationals and Arizona Diamondbacks.
Red Ryan, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2014 draft, was locked in. The right-hander led the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 6-3 win against the Washington Nationals at Chase Field. Curt Schilling earned the save, his 23rd, for the Diamondbacks.
Arizona took a 5-1 lead on Ketel Marte's 32nd double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Marte hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Washington pitcher Pedro J Martinez visibly frustrated.
"Red was throwing free and easy," said Arizona manager .
Arizona is in 4th place in the National League Western Division with a record of 48-59.
