The Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs completed their game despite the inclement weather.

The Milwaukee Brewers had to overcome a good performance from Chicago pitcher Clark Griffith to claim a 3-0 win at Wrigley Field. Griffith went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Rollie Fingers recorded the save, making him 28 for 30.

Milwaukee used the timely hitting of Robin Yount to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Brewers on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Yount called the win "a team effort."
